Quick answer
- Log in at hrms.punjab.gov.in with your employee code — the Pay Slip sits inside My Services → Pay Related, not on the dashboard.
- Forgot password? Use the OTP on your registered mobile, or ask your DDO office to reset it — those are the only two ways.
- No time or the portal keeps failing? WhatsApp us at 91155 52911 and we do it for you.
It is the 2nd of the month, the bank wants your last three salary slips for a car loan by Friday, and hrms.punjab.gov.in has just shown you "Invalid Credentials" for the fourth time. Every Punjab government employee has lived this moment. Here is the way out — the exact clicks, the password recovery that actually works, and the errors we fix every single week for teachers, clerks and police personnel across Patiala.
Why iHRMS matters more than you think
iHRMS (Integrated Human Resource Management System) is now the single source of truth for every Punjab government employee's service life. Your salary slip, GPF or NPS statement, service book and annual property return all live here — no more begging the establishment branch for photocopies.
The catch: the portal was built for departments, not employees. Menus are buried, sessions expire fast, and at month-end the whole thing crawls. Knowing the exact path saves you an hour of clicking around.
The exact login flow on hrms.punjab.gov.in
Open hrms.punjab.gov.in in any browser — Chrome on a phone works fine. Click the Login button at the top right. You need three things: your employee code (on any old salary slip or from your DDO), your password, and the captcha typed exactly as shown — it is case-sensitive.
First-time users are forced to change the default password and set security questions. Write the new password somewhere safe; the portal locks the account after repeated wrong attempts, and unlocking means a trip to the DDO.
Where the Pay Slip actually hides
This is the step where most people give up — the dashboard shows announcements, not your documents. Menu labels shift slightly with portal updates, but the path below has held for years.
Open hrms.punjab.gov.in
Use Chrome or any modern browser. Avoid the last two days of the month if you can — the portal slows badly.
Log in with your employee code
Employee code + password + captcha (case-sensitive). Three wrong attempts risk a lockout.
Go to My Services → Pay Related
Ignore the dashboard tiles. Open the left-side menu and expand My Services, then the pay section.
Select Pay Slip and pick the month
Choose the financial year first, then the month. The current month appears only after your DDO processes salary.
Verify the details on screen
Check basic pay, deductions and your name spelling before downloading — banks reject slips with mismatches.
Download the PDF
Save it with a clear name like PaySlip-June-2026.pdf. Keep every month — you will thank yourself later.
Forgot password? Two ways back in — and only two
Way one: click Forgot Password on the login page, enter your employee code, and an OTP goes to your registered mobile number. If that number is your current number, you are back in within two minutes.
Way two: if the registered mobile is old, switched off or was never seeded, no online trick will help. Your DDO (Drawing and Disbursing Officer) or the establishment clerk can reset the password from their admin login. Carry your employee code and ID — it usually takes one visit.
The 4 documents you'll actually need — and when
These are the four iHRMS documents that come up again and again in real life. Pull them before you need them urgently.
- 🧾Salary slips (last 3–6 months)every home, car or personal loan; also visa files and rental agreements
- 💰GPF / NPS statementretirement planning, GPF advance or withdrawal applications, loan-against-GPF
- 📘Service book copypromotions, transfers, pension cases and arrears verification — check every entry
- 🏠Annual property return (APR)mandatory yearly declaration; departments now chase defaulters through iHRMS itself
Checking arrears after a pay revision? Compare the basic pay on your slip against your service book entries — that is exactly where most arrear miscalculations hide.
Portal not cooperating?
Send your employee code on WhatsApp — we pull your slips and statements the same day.Common errors and the real fixes
Wrong month showing / current slip missing: your DDO has not finalised that month's bill yet. The slip appears only after salary is processed — usually a few days into the new month. Nothing on your side is broken.
Mismatched basic pay: if the slip shows a different basic than your fixation order, the DDO's pay entry needs correction. Take a screenshot and your fixation order to the establishment branch — do not sit on it, because arrears calculations compound the error.
"Session expired" mid-download: the portal logs you out quickly. Log in, go straight to Pay Slip, and download immediately instead of browsing around first.
Do it yourself vs Sahayak Seva does it
| Do it yourself | Sahayak Seva | |
|---|---|---|
| Time spent | 30–60 min (more if errors) | One WhatsApp message |
| Password locked out | DDO visit on your own | We guide the exact reset path |
| Multiple months / GPF / APR | Repeat everything per document | All documents in one go |
| Slip errors spotted | Easy to miss | We cross-check before sending |
| Language | Portal is English-only | Hindi, Punjabi or English |
Download your salary slip every single month, the week it appears. The one month you skip is always the month the bank asks for.
How Sahayak Seva does this for you
Message us on WhatsApp at 91155 52911 — no app to install, no sign-up, no forms. Tell us what you need: this month's slip, six months for a loan file, a GPF statement or your full service book copy. We handle the portal, verify the details and send clean PDFs back on the same chat, usually the same day.
We work in Hindi, Punjabi and English, and we have done this for hundreds of Punjab government employees — teachers, police, health and revenue staff alike. Sahayak Seva is a private service provider and is not affiliated with any government department; we simply do the portal work so you do not have to.
